The Team

Russ Russ Scott is a local Somerset lad, who is well known in the local amateur dramatic circle and when not working in IT, likes nothing more than getting into the technical side of theatre… from building set and props to AV, sound and lighting.

Russ was unfortunately diagnosed with this awful disease late 2018 – he will help in supporting, planning and administration of the walking challenge and associated events.

Sadly we lost Russ on the 27th June 2021 to this terrible disease, but the walking and fundraising continues undeterred.

The two intrepid walkers will be Dennis Jones and Kev Woollan, who have both been friends with Russ for over 40 years.

Dennis Jones is a Somerset lad, working and running his farm all of his life. He now has diversified, like many farmers and provides quality caravan storage, who as a company are helping to sponsor the event. Dennis is a keen Chelsea fan (we all have our crosses to bear) and a lover of life. He suggested this challenge as a way to help raise funds for Russ.

Kev Woollan is also a Somerset lad, having lived in the county for most of his life. He is a great rugby supporter (Bath) and is a good friend of Dennis and Russ and a keen walker in his spare time. He will also be sponsoring the event, but in these uncertain times, he has had to re-think offering "lifts" to the start of a walk for a small fee.
