Around the Bays in 60 Days


Around the Bays in 60 Days is a walking challenge being undertaken by Dennis Jones and Kev Woollan in support of their dear friend of over 40 years, Russ Scott.

They are aiming to raise awareness of Motor Neurone Disease (MND) and support the MND Association charity (www.mndassociation.org), that provides care and support to patients and funds research into this life limiting illness.

Sadly we lost Russ on the 27th June 2021 to this terrible disease, but the walking and fundraising continues undeterred.

The walk started on the 11th July 2020 and was planned to complete a year later on 10th July 2021, but due to the covid pandemic and subsequent government lockdowns, we have extended the completion date until the end of October 2021. During this time, and over a maximum of 60 days, Dennis and Kev plan to walk the 629-mile South West Coast path; covering the counties of Somerset, Devon, Cornwall and Dorset.

Friends and family will be joining in on sections of the walk, and you can support the challenge by being a sponsor for the event, sponsoring the two intrepid walkers, or even joining in on part of the walk yourselves!
